Ötscher is an international manufacturer of workwear with its own production,
logistics and warehousing in Austria. We are the specialist for "custom made"
products and high-quality workwear.
Facts and Figures
In 1947, the Götzl family founded the clothing company NÖG (Niederösterreichische Großhandels GmbH) in Amstetten. In 1958 the company name was changed to "Ötscher Berufskleidungsindustrie GmbH". As steady as the mountain "Ötscher", which the Götzl family could see from their first workshop, so should the work clothes be, that were created here. This high quality standard pays off to this day. Over the years, the company has expanded to several locations in order to meet the ever increasing demand. In the sixties, exports expanded to the FRG, Switzerland and till Norway, as did the portfolio - in 1988 safari suits were first tested for use in the Namib Desert. With the opening of the Osnabrück sales office in 1996, the company now had a branch in Germany in order to meet the increasing demand for quality workwear. The partnership with "John Deere" and the license as a worldwide supplier of "VW" workshop clothing are further milestones in Ötscher's success story. In the meantime, many companies, from the internationally operating group to the company next door, rely on Ötscher quality, reliability and service.
As a unique quality feature you will find the "Ötscher Star" on our products. It guarantees you that the product you are holding in your hand has been produced using the most up-to-date materials, the best production technology and has undergone a triple quality control.

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100
We attach great importance to offering products that are harmless to health while at the same time offering maximum functionality. The skin compatibility of the materials used plays a decisive role. Quality starts with the fabric
With Ötscher you are safe!
To meet all requirements for workwear, highly specialized fabrics for particular areas are used.
Among the main applications are counted for example,
heat, welding, chemical, cutting, warning and weather protection.
COTTON
Cotton is a very absorbent (it can absorb up to 80% of its weight in water) and extremely skin-friendly natural fiber. Cotton textiles tend to dry slowly, but have a temperature-compensating property.
REINFORCED COTTON
The addition of polyester gives cotton a higher strength and dimensional stability. This makes them easier to care for - while maintaining the good wearing properties of cotton.
BLENDED FABRIC
Quality blended fabric, mostly in 65% branded polyester and 35% combed cotton, is very hard-wearing, easy-care and especially colourfast. The standard 100 by OEKO-TEX is guaranteed.
PPE CERTIFICATIONS
Personal protective equipment (PPE) is any equipment designed to protect the health of the employee. It must be made available if dangers can not be sufficiently limited by technical or organizational measures. The PPE must comply with the applicable safety and health requirements and be suitable for the respective application. The manufacturer's instructions must be strictly adhered to.
GORE-TEX
GORE-TEX is a waterproof material of W. L. Gore & Associates. Its membrane ensures an optimal body climate even with high physical effort, since water vapor can escape through microscopically small pores to the outside. The materials are breathable, windproof and waterproof.
WINDSTOPPER®
It is an abrasion-resistant and water-repellent upper material. Combined with Gore's patented special membrane and laminated inner fleece, Windstopper® protects against wind, snow and light rain.
NOMEX
The aramid fiber Nomex was specially developed by DuPont for fire protection. The material is used for flame retardant clothing (protective suits of fire departments, racing suits, etc.).
CORDURA®
This material impresses with its extreme abrasion resistance. Heavily stressed areas are reinforced to increase the life of the garment.
EC TYPE APPROVAL CERTIFICATE
Type-tested articles are, for example, welder protection clothing and cut protection pants, which also comply with the FPA test. This is carried out by an accredited institute, which subsequently confirms that a sample representative of the production in question complies with the relevant requirements of this regulation.
